The first exhibition organized by 9 March Project Team explored the subject of gender stereotypes and feminism and was held in:
— GROUND Solyanka Gallery, Moscow
— Chelyabinsk Museum of Arts, Chelyabinsk
— Dom Bonee Gallery, Perm
— Exhibition Center of Saint-Petersburg Artist Union, Saint-Petersburg
The first exhibition made by our curatorial team opened on March 8th 2020 in GROUND Solyanka State Gallery in Moscow. We were later happy to show some of the exhibits in such Russian cities as Chelyabinsk, Perm and Saint-Petersburg and to find more friends and supporters of our project there. One of our main goals was to show to russian viewers and artists that contemporary jewelry is a legitimate art form, a most interesting field to explore for jewelers and artists alike – and we are proud to say that we made a successful first step in that direction. 9 March Project exhibition showed more than 80 jewelry artists from all over the world, including Philip Sajet, Felieke van der Leest and Tim Carson. The publications about the show appeared in Russian Vogue, Time Out Moscow, The Moscow Times and many other sources.
